Wooden medieval Bookbinding

Today, a little different bookbinding. It is an A5 size notebook with an open spine and sewing over raised cords. The signatures seen from the spine are painted with the same paste used for the covers. The covers are of wood and painted with paste paint. I have take two pictures cut from National Geographic of images captured by the Hubble. The end paper is plain in dark red with hinges to attach the lid to the body of the book.
